California Early College Academy is a rewarding and rigorous program that provide students the opportunity to take American River College classes during high school. CECA uses multi-measures to determine admission for students.  Some of those measures include, but are not limited to the following::
  • Intend to attend college after graduation

  • Committed to fully participating in AVID

  • Underserved in colleges and universities

  • Positive attitude

  • Respectful

  • First in family to attend/complete college

  • Willingness to assist others and be assisted in Socratic Tutoring

  • Willingness to develop effective time management skills

  • Committed to keeping an open line of communication with your parents/guardians

  • Resourceful

  • Willingness to attend Zero (0) Period classes

  • Open to attending tutorials when determined to be of need by Early College Staff

  • Committed to attending American River College as part of your Early College experience

  • Adhere to the California Early College Code of Conduct and Expectations 

  • Willingness to take responsibility for your actions

  • Complete the application requirements

There is no one measure that will eliminate a candidate, nor is there one measure that will ensure acceptance into the program. The importance and emphasis is to provide the appropriate placement within the Inderkum High School curriculum and its multitude of programs and resources.
